About Chronovate AML

Chronovate AML is a specialist AML/CFT independent review and implementation practice focused on Hong Kong trust or company service provider licensees.

A focused practice for a defined regulatory environment

Our work is designed for TCSP management, compliance officers and MLROs who need a clear assessment of whether documented AML/CFT controls are operating in practice.

Engagements are lawyer-led and supported by ACAMS-certified professionals. The core service is an independent AML/CFT review report. Policy, forms, customer risk assessment, training and implementation support are optional extensions where the review identifies a practical need.

We use English as our primary working and publication language, supporting clear communication with Hong Kong teams, international owners and cross-border professional advisers.

How we work

Our approach connects regulatory criteria, actual client files, operating evidence and management action.

Primary-source grounded

We work from current official materials, including Companies Registry guidance, Hong Kong legislation and JFIU resources where relevant.

Proportionate scope

Scoping reflects the TCSP's services, customer population, risk profile, prior review history and document readiness.

Usable reporting

Findings distinguish criteria, evidence, risk and corrective action so management can make and document informed decisions.

Chronovate AML Editorial Team

Editorial standards for Insights

Our public Insights are written for practical use by Hong Kong TCSP management and compliance teams. They provide general information and do not replace advice on a live matter.

Direct answers, then supporting detail

Each guide begins with a concise answer before explaining the regulatory basis, implementation considerations, limitations and related reading.

Official sources first

Material regulatory statements are checked against primary sources. Guides display a review date and link readers to the official material so that current requirements can be verified.

Obligation and good practice are kept distinct

We aim to identify when a point reflects a legal or regulatory requirement, a risk-management judgement, or practical good practice. We avoid presenting one firm's process as the only acceptable approach.

Corrections and updates

We review material content when official guidance changes or when an error is identified. Questions or correction requests can be sent to info@chronovate-aml.com.
